Dance Recital . . . with special guest, Lainey!

Friday nights are usually pizza and movie night in our home, but this past Friday we had a special treat . . .
a dance recital, performed by four princesses.   We were honored to host the lovely Lainey, niece of our friends, Skip and Donna.
Lainey is four years old, and one of the most polite and delightful young ladies we have had the pleasure to know.
Lainey jumped right into the action . . . she was such a good sport. And, of course, I couldn’t resist pulling out the camera.

This “motion” effect is shutter drag. I used the flash to catch the action, but kept the shutter open a little longer to get “motion” in the photo.
Set your camera on manual to try it.  I put my settings here so you could get an idea of the settings vs. the motion effect.

Wow, KitKat… cool effects with the camera! We had SUCH a blast with your family last weekend – and Lainey especially enjoyed being #9!! And oh how wonderful to be beautiful, enchanted princesses with “the girls” 🙂 Love you, Friend!!! AliKat xoxo
